Northampton, MA - February 1, 2024 - The Iron Horse Music Hall, an iconic symbol of Northampton's vibrant music and arts scene, is poised to reclaim its place at the heart of the community under the stewardship of The Parlor Room Collective. With a legacy dating back to 1979, the Iron Horse will once again pulse with live music and delicious food starting May 1, 2024.
In anticipation of its reopening, The Parlor Room Collective is now accepting applications for all restaurant positions at the Iron Horse, including General Manager, Executive Chef, Lead Bartender, Bartenders, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Food Runners, Bussers, and Porters. The menu and restaurant operations are being prepared in collaboration with James Beard semifinalist, Dave Schrier, of Easthampton’s Daily Operation. This presents an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals to contribute to the venue's culinary excellence alongside its renowned live performances. Hopeful candidates can apply online at www.ironhorse.org/jobs.
The Parlor Room Collective (PRCO) is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the health and vitality of our community through the power of music. PRCO hosts over 200 shows per year at The Parlor Room and hosts dozens of workshops through the educational wing, The Musicians Workshop. The Iron Horse Music Hall will reopen under the PRCO umbrella with a shared mission of community engagement through music. "The Iron Horse has been a symbolic and literal heartbeat of music in western Massachusetts," said Chris Freeman, Executive Director of The Parlor Room Collective. "We're honored to continue its tradition of providing exceptional live music experiences while fostering inclusivity and community."
The Iron Horse is set to announce its first shows on February 15, 2024, promising an eclectic mix of performances that will captivate audiences and celebrate the diversity of talent in the region.
"We're dedicated to creating an inclusive space that celebrates art, artists, and community," added Freeman.
